A respected figure within Mulberry, Dr. Kirksey was actively involved in the city, leaving a lasting impact through his membership in Mulberry’s Lions International, Remy Masonic Lodge, and as a director of the Bank of Mulberry. Dr. Kirksey and his son played a vital role by donating the land for the creation of the park, ensuring that generations to come would have a place to gather, play, and connect.
