Hydrant Flushing Scheduled for the Week of 10/16 at the Water Treatment Plant
In an effort to maintain the highest water quality standards for our community, we are pleased to announce that hydrant flushing is scheduled for the week of October 16th at the Mulberry Water Treatment Plant.
What to Expect:
During this routine maintenance activity, you may notice the following:
- Temporary Water Discoloration: Some customers may experience temporary water discoloration, which is normal during hydrant flushing. This discoloration is caused by the disturbance of mineral deposits in the water mains and is not a health hazard.
- Reduced Water Pressure: You may experience slightly reduced water pressure during the flushing process. This is temporary and will return to normal once flushing is complete.
- Avoid Laundry: We recommend avoiding the use of washing machines and dishwashers during the flushing period to prevent any potential staining of clothes or dishes.
- Check Water Before Use: If you notice discolored water after flushing is complete, run your cold water tap for a few minutes until it clears.
Hydrant flushing will take place throughout the week of October 16th. The flushing schedule may vary slightly by neighborhood, but it will generally occur between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as we work to ensure the continued supply of high-quality water to our community.
