08/23/2024 – MULBERRY, Ark. –
It was a remarkable afternoon in Mulberry as we welcomed several distinguished guests to our city. We were honored to host U.S. Senator John Boozman, U.S. Senator Tom Cotton, State Senator Jim Petty, State Representative Chad Puryear, Crawford County Judge Chris Keith, and Crawford County Sheriff Daniel Perry. The event was made possible by the generous hospitality of Doug and Candice Bowen, owners of Compass Cold Storage, who graciously hosted the group and provided an insightful tour of their impressive facility.
The visit offered a unique opportunity to highlight the growth and development within Mulberry. Mayor Baxter was delighted to share updates on various projects that have been completed, those currently under construction, and exciting plans for the future. Doug Bowen shared the success story of Compass Cold Storage, providing valuable insights into the operations and achievements of the company.
The City of Mulberry would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the law enforcement agencies that ensured the event proceeded smoothly and safely. Special recognition goes to the Arkansas State Police Troop H, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, and the Mulberry Police Department for their visible presence and security on-site.
A significant note of appreciation is due to Jessi Solley from Senator Boozman’s office and Vicki Hunter of Compass Cold Storage for their exceptional efforts in organizing and coordinating the visit. Their hard work ensured that the event was seamless and enjoyable for all involved.
The visit was not just a tour but a celebration of community, collaboration, and the promising future of Mulberry. We look forward to continuing our work together to build a brighter and more prosperous future for our city.
