It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the City of Mulberry’s official website. Our desire is for you to be compelled to experience the beauty of our area and hospitality of our people in person by viewing and reading the information provided on these pages.
In real estate terms, the three most important aspects of an area are location, location, and location. Mulberry is truly in one of the best locations in our country. Outdoor recreation abounds with the Arkansas River as our southern border, the nationally known Mulberry River on our eastern border, the Boston Mountains/Ozark National Forest just north of our city limits, and easy access to Fort Smith, Fayetteville, and Tulsa on our western side. Interstate 40, which connects the east coast with the west coast, provides two exits, 20 and 24, to the city of Mulberry. We are just 8 miles from where Interstate 49 will connect Canada to the Gulf Coast at New Orleans. With the Union Pacific Railroad, and barge capability on the Arkansas River, our area is poised to be a huge distribution and warehouse center for all of central USA. Mulberry is also home to the only edamame processing plant in the USA dedicated to processing locally grown and commercially harvested edamame. We pride ourselves in being a healthy community with healthy lifestyles.
If you are looking for a low tax, safe location to start or relocate your business, Mulberry is the place for you. Our schools are noted for accomplishments such as producing one of the highest percentages of scholarship dollars for graduating students in our area. Marvin Elementary is one of nine schools in our state that achieved exemplary status this past year plus many more awards. Our Parks and Recreation Department maintains 6 Parks in the city which provide outdoor exercise and enjoyment to many people. We are a community of faith, which is evidenced by our many churches representing various denominations and independent organizations.

MPV Auditorium
The Mulberry-Pleasant View High School Auditorium stands as a proud community landmark and a clear testament to the School District’s dedication to the Arts. Set between the existing High School and Administration Offices, this 12,500-square-foot building connects the campus and opens the way to the Dana Higdon Memorial Plaza, named in honor of the district’s former superintendent. Designed for musical performance, theatre, and art exhibitions, the auditorium seats 500 with 250 fixed seats and 250 on powered retractable risers, plus a Green Room, kitchenette, restrooms, and lobby. A covered walkway links the buildings, while the plaza invites neighbors to gather outdoors. Come experience it for yourself.

Mulberry’s economic landscape continues to expand with the announcement that Twin Rivers Foods is moving into the Mulberry Industrial Park. Twin Rivers Foods is a company dedicated to creating superior food experiences by celebrating food and the people who enjoy it, with a deep passion for poultry.
This development represents another vote of confidence in our growing local economy, building lasting relationships while creating new employment opportunities. Further evidence of Mulberry’s increasing appeal as a destination for business investment.
Workman’s Travel Center to Deliver Major Economic Boost
** OPENING 2026 ** Workman’s Travel Center’s development promises significant economic benefits for Mulberry, with representatives recently updating the city council on their impressive projections. The facility expects to generate over $10 million in annual non-fuel revenue while creating at least 60 full-time jobs for local residents. The development will include several food service options, featuring both a Wendy’s franchise and a hot deli to serve travelers and community members alike. Beyond retail offerings, the center will provide valuable truck services including diesel repair facilities, with plans to add a truck wash in the future. This substantial investment demonstrates Mulberry’s growing appeal to major commercial developers and strengthens our position as a key service hub along the transportation corridor.
Water Plant Expansion Bolsters Mulberry’s Economic Growth
The City of Mulberry’s $12.2 million water treatment plant expansion, which broke ground on February 8th, represents a significant economic investment in our community’s future. By securing an impressive 68% of funding through grants, our city administration has demonstrated exceptional fiscal responsibility while developing essential infrastructure to support business growth. The expanded facility will accommodate increasing demand from new commercial and residential developments, while system redundancies will ensure uninterrupted service—a critical factor for businesses considering relocation to our area. This strategic infrastructure investment positions Mulberry as an attractive destination for economic development and supports our continued community prosperity through 2026 and beyond.
